Dale Stiles Catawba County Dale joined the team in the County Manager's Office a little less than 2 years ago, and she hasn't looked back. Dale quickly jumped in and started learning the core competencies of the role, sharing her excitement with each new aspect of the job she has learned. Dale recently earned her Clerk Certification through the NC Association of County Clerks, and we're so proud of her accomplishments. Beyond learning the role and the competencies and the various technical aspects of the Clerk position, Dale has the right disposition to perform the function. She is patient with citizens, elected officials, and staff alike. She is positive and solutions-oriented. She demonstrates the County's core values every day. Since joining our team, Dale has managed critical transitions across multiple fronts, and she's done so seamlessly: One new County Manager, two new Assistant County Manager, two new Board members, and everything else the job has thrown her way! Dale is where she was meant to be. Our team benefits tremendously from her service, and we are so lucky to have her. NC

Her dedication to her role in the city is evident in the ways she maintains the records and documents for the city, but especially in her efforts to care for the city cemetery. In recent years, she has worked closely with the council and the mayor to ensure that the headstones in the cemetery are properly refurbished and replaced, and that those who are laid to rest there are documented. Fijabi Gallam North Ridgeville Fiji is the chair of the Program Committee for the Northeast Ohio Municipal Clerks Association (regional) and chair of the Professional Development Committee for the Ohio Municipal Clerks Association (state). She is instrumental in providing education opportunities for her fellow clerks who may be working on their certification or simply wish to stay current on job related topics, such as records retention/records management. She does this while maintaining her job responsibilities and family obligations. Having watched her navigate the NEOMCA committee and assisted her with some of their sessions, I witnessed the amount of time needed to provide successful training sessions. Volunteering for these committees can be a thankless endeavor, and I truly appreciate the work she puts into helping find quality programming. One needs to be very organized to achieve this feat, and Fiji definitely has Superwoman organizational skills! Ohio
