Patrice Olds

Patrice Olds has served the profession of City Clerk for over 17 years, and in that time has become a pillar of the legislative process in her community. She helped navigate the City of San Mateo through several transitionary moments, including the move to district elections, continuity of business through a global pandemic, and many more. In navigating every obstacle, Ms. Olds remains steadfast in her dedication to the principles of ethical governance, transparency in operations, and accuracy of election administration and records management. The technical expertise and endless knowledge of the municipal clerk profession has inspired many to pursue and thrive within this challenging role. On countless occasions, Ms. Olds has answered and gone above the call of duty, in particular, her commitment to sustaining the City's external relationships with our Sister City of Toyonaka and adopted unit of the 101st Airborne. Time and again, Ms. Olds has displayed the passion of a labor of love, and is beyond worthy of this recognition.
