Kay Draughn

It is a privilege to nominate Kay Draughn for the IIMC Foundation Circle of Excellence. I have had the privilege of working closely with Kay for the past six years and during that time, I saw the passion and drive for excellence that Kay brings to everything she does. Kay goes above and beyond in her position as Clerk to serve the citizens of Burke County and the Board of Commissioners. She is also heavily involved in Animal welfare in Burke County, and was a key foundational piece of the creation of Burke County's Animal Services Department. Kay also serves as the President of the Animal Services Foundation which works to raise money for a new animal shelter. Kay is a visionary public servant and I am proud to call her a mentor and friend. She would be an excellent recipient of the IIMC Foundation Circle of Excellence.
